Oh, lies and crimes. . . where are thy punishments?


 Let's just take one  example - out of hundreds- that comes out of the mouths of MAGA/Republicans:

JD Vance: "Murders are up by 81% because of what Kamala Harris has allowed to happen in Springfield."

Daniel Driscoll, Republican Prosecutor in Springfield: "During the time that I've been with the office, 21 years now, we have not had any murders involving the Haitian community."


Vance's retort to a different lie he told during the debate was, "I didn't think you were going to fact check me."

America, what in the hell are we doing to ourselves?  Why are we allowing this crap to misinform the most uninformed of us? Why are we letting member of the MAGA/Republican Cult to tell the voters that "they are to reject the evidence of your eyes and ears."

As in the case of Trump's attempt to overturn the 2020 election, the Special Counsel Jack Smith has new, solid evidence that solidly shows that Trump "resorted to crimes that would keep him in office."  Smith also said Trump's criminal scheme was "private," which excludes his blubbering to be immune from prosecution. 

The entire mess could have been straightened out in a matter of weeks if the Trump brigade of lying losers had only told the truth in the beginning:  Trump lost in 2020 and that was that!

Now we are a month away from election 2024 and both Trump and Lance refuse to say if they'll accept the results of the election if they lose. 

Our Justice Department will have their hands full. Our polling places are being targeted with bomb threats. Our poll workers and their family members are receiving death threats. Our election officials and their families are receiving death threats.

All because we allowed Trump and his thugs to lie and commit horrendous crimes without punishment!  Do we really have to go through all of this again?  Where are the teeth in our rule of law?

America is at a crossroads. One road will get us back to living and working within our rules of law.  The other will take us on the proverbial "to hell in a hand basket" ride as our final destination.

And it would just be our luck to meet Trump and Vance one on the way back from their weekend recharge!

A Day for a little Levity. . .

Confession of a   Social Climber Before I cash in my chips and curl up my toes, I need to confess to a terrible crime. For more than 86 years I have been a terrible liar about an important moment in of my life. As everyone who knows me is aware, I have always said my home town was Fort Benton. But, I hope everyone will find a way to forgive me for that terrible fib. I admit I was a social climber from birth. I wanted the world to know I was from a large city.
