Mike Cooney
Born September 3, 1954

 He is an American politician who has served as the 36th Lieutenant Governor of Montana since January 2016.  He previously served in the Montana House of Representatives (1977-1981), as the Secretary of State of Montana (1989-2001), in the Montana Senate (202-2011), and as the President of the Montana Senate (2007-2009).

 He has been at the right hand of Gov. Bullock for eight years and, together, they have an outstanding record of moving our state forward.  Their success at maintaining safe restrictions on the coronavirus crisis has made Montana one of the safest states in the nation.

   He is the current Democrat Candidate for Governor of Montana.

 Greg Gianforte
Born April 17, 1961

 He is an American businessman, enginer, author, and politician serving as the Representative for Montana's at-large congressional district since 2017.

 He attained his current position of representing Montana by buying a seat in the U.S. House of Representatives through his vast wealth. His dismal record consists of failing to vote more times than 90% of his fellow House Members.

 His one claim to fame was to bodyslam a national news reporter who asked him a simple question about his thoughts on the Affordable Care Act.  He was charged, served community service time, and ordered to attend anger management therapy classes.

    He is the current Republican Candidate for Governor of Montana.

   Can anyone honestly say there is the slightest question as to who is the most qualified, the most credible, and the one with the better character?

A Day for a little Levity. . .

Confession of a   Social Climber Before I cash in my chips and curl up my toes, I need to confess to a terrible crime. For more than 86 years I have been a terrible liar about an important moment in of my life. As everyone who knows me is aware, I have always said my home town was Fort Benton. But, I hope everyone will find a way to forgive me for that terrible fib. I admit I was a social climber from birth. I wanted the world to know I was from a large city. When I was born, my parents and and older brother lived in the beautiful town of Virgelle, Montana. We also had a farm across the river from Virgelle and south about five miles on top of the river breaks. We lived there for about three years and then moved back to the farm.
