It is an opening scene from a new science fiction movie as offered by the destructive and all-new and diabolical American Republican/MAGA Party. Admission to the movie is one soul from each adult. 

The scorched-earth landscape will be void of a once-beloved and very popular experiment called "democracy." The world saw our "shinning city on the hill" as something to attain for themselves. We were the envy of many countries. 

No longer. 

The wacko MAGA bunch and the Republican elites have become filled with greed and  a hunger for more power. Their appetite is frighteningly intense and it seems there is no way to stop them.

Should you wish to partake of their unholy endeavor, attend the theatre of the macabre, check your soul at the door, stop at the concession stand for a medium-sized container of hemlock, and settle in for the horror show of your life.

To Be snookered. . . on Not To Be snookered...that is the question!

When we contemplate the question of whether Donald Trump is qualified to run for the office of the president again, we need to decide who is qualified to judge him. Will they decide his qualifications based on how the question will be posed?  "Is Donald J. Trump charged with insurrection against the United States Government or is he charged with insurrection against the United States Constitution?"

His crack team of attorneys are defending him as an insurrectionist against the government and they are refusing to address the question that he should be charged with insurrection against the constitution.

Our constitution is the important and the central instrument to this entire  case. If we do not adhere to each line of this document, we are simply letting biased attorneys and supreme court justices set this country's legal pathway. 

According to retired Federal Judge Luttig and many attorneys who practice in the federal realm, Donald Trump is guilty of the 14th Amendment, Section 3. 

Section 3 of the 14th Amendment

"No person shall be a Senator or Representative in Congress, or elector of President and Vice-President, or hold any office, civil or military, under the United States, or under any State, who, having previously taken an oath, as a member of Congress, or an officer of the United States, or as a member of any Sate legislature, or as an executive or judicial officer of any State, to support the Constitution of the United States, shall have engaged in insurrection or rebellion against the same, or given aid or comfort to the enemies thereof."

I am not an attorney nor have I ever played one on television, but it doesn't take one to understand our Constitution. The problem here is simple:  Many of our politicians have law degrees, but know just enough to twist things to fit their politics. 

Let's not let that happen here. If we allow them to keep re-writing our Constitution, we'll lose it - and then the next thing we'll lose is our democracy!

This will undoubtedly end up in the U.S. Supreme Court - unless Trump wins another term and tosses the entire act of treason in the dumpster. If it gets to the high court, we can only hope that they see it as an assault on our Constitution. 

The Briggs/Larson Election Rebellion. . .

The Republican Plague of Montana

Current Cascade County Commissioners (left to right) Jim Larson, Rae Grulkowski, and Joe Briggs (all Republicans) have successfully stolen the election duties from the newly elected Sandra Merchant and will find a more willing person to do their bidding. Merchant retains her duties as Cascade County Clerk and Recorder, however.

In a meeting open to the public, 300 people attended. About 100 were in favor of the change and 200 were adamantly opposed!  Due to the way such Republican-inspired meetings usually goes in Montana, the minority won the day. 

The reason for yanking the election duties from Merchant is vague and - in many minds - political. 

And now, I break in with this important news flash:  The Montana Republicans have been spreading the word since they became a supermajority party that our Montana and national elections have been rigged for years by those dirty liberal malcontents and that Republicans - and Republicans alone - must fix the "problem."   

I have no proof (yet) that this is the Cascade County mischief, but I certainly smell a rat in the courthouse.

Trump and Mussolini - damn near twins!

 "IL DUCE" and "IL DOUCHE"

According to some, such similarities have not gone unnoticed, because a few other actual Trump nicknames including Casino Mussolini, Mango Mussolini, Cheat-o Benito, and Benito Cheetolini.

Even their signatures are creepily similar.

It was reported today that Trump said he had never read Mein Kampf. An ex-wife of his did reveal, however, that he had only two books in a night stand by his bed: Speeches by Hitler and The Art of The Deal. It would appear that both books played heavily in his "art" of trying to be president. His lies were the main entrée to nearly all of his dealings and when he needed something to "punch-up" a lie, he turned to Hitler's speeches.  (Mussolini's words worked fine, too.) 

We all know of the ravings of "Il Duce" and his admiration for Adolph Hitler. Their thundering and often incoherent speeches could curdle the blood of their countrymen like no other could.

When you look at the mannerisms of Trump at his "rallies," you see a striking - and eerie - resemblance to the video footage of Benito. While the words the Donald uses are straight from the ravings of Adolph Hitler, there is an uncanny parroting of El Duce, as well.

We all know too well of Mussolini's ending. He was killed by his own countrymen and  hung in a town square in Milan, Italy - upside-down - next to his mistress. Their bodies were further beaten and abused by the happy onlookers. 

All-in-all, there is much more to learn about Trump. . . and it ain't all good, either! And I'd best my last dollar there is a "hanging tree" already picked out somewhere close to Mar-a-Lago. 

. . . not that I'm in favor of that, however.

Montana U.S. House Rep. Matt Rosendale (R-MD)  is reportedly "thinking very heavily" on his decision to run against Sen. Jon Tester (D-MT) of the U. S. Senate. That's what most folks would definitely call "delusions of grandeur."

I'm sure the Republicans would find him most welcome because he certainly has all the credentials. He is first and foremost a card-carrying member of MAGA. He is also a proud member of the White Nationalist movement and even had his photo taken for national distribution showing the secret hand sign as he stands next to Donald Trump. 

Rosendale aligns himself with those want to kick our democracy into the ditch and rally around an authoritarian rule for America.

He is a square peg in 325 million round holes and he thinks all round holes should confirm to his thinking. 

We do not want him in the U.S. Senate.

We want him to stay back east and run for secretary of the "Square Peg Society."

There are some things the liar doesn't lie about

A Trifecta: Money, Power, and Trump

There are three things assumed to be significant in America that will be responsible for bringing our democracy to its knees and they are Republican money, power, and a man called Donald J. Trump. 

The man called Trump, just may be melting like the evil witch in The Wizard of Oz. At present, however, we are not sure of anything!

Seven months ago, in an NBC poll, just 24% of Americans surveyed have positive views of the Make America Great Again, or MAGA movement. The MAGA movement, which takes its name from Trump's first campaign slogan, was the least popular individual or group tested in the new survey. Forty-five percent voiced negative views of MAGA. Trump is still unpopular today and so is the political movement created in his image. It was so in the June poll by NBC and it has slipped downward each month since then.

The major reason for it slippage is Trump's open claim that he will weaponize the Department of Justice and reek revenge on all of his "enemies." He has also threatened to take control of other departments, when elected as president in 2024. His greatest goal is, of course, to replace our democracy with his authoritarian rule.

His thirst for power is undeniable and his base of billionaire donors will help him in an election win.

That would give him the trifecta: money, power, and his unbelievable hold on his "base of insurrectionists" who are obviously uninformed or uncaring voters!

 

The Beginning of the End for our democracy. . .

 The Dirty Truth

January 6, 2921 was a day of infamy in America.  It was the day we were attacked by thugs who called themselves Americans and set out to prosecute a coup on America as they sought to overturn our presidential election.

This was an attack on America's homeland - by Americans! That makes it our greatest day - to date - of domestic terrorism.

And the dirty truth is it was planned, directed, and carried out by those who purport to be like us, And, worse yet, they have all taken an solemn oath when sworn into office and took their seat in the U.S. House and Senate of the United States of America. Those who have sworn their allegiance to MAGA have declared themselves traitors to our nation!

So, what are we to do about it?

Apparently, nothing.

Are we men or mice?

Too Uninformed To Vote?

"Understanding the basic processes and functions of government encourages more involvement in democratic processes. Unfortunately, this fairly simple understanding of government, or civic literacy, has also declined over the last two to three decades. The point is only 51% of Americans were able to name all three branches of government. Also, 52% of Americans can't name a Supreme Court Justice, and  Woodrow Wilson Foundation study found that the majority of Americans would fail a U.S. citizenship test." (National Civic League)

An uneducated and disengaged populace creates fertile ground for misinformation to take root. Further, the advent of social media in combination with the decline of local journalism has most certainly made it easier for disinformation to spread and 52% of Americans say they regularly encounter fake news online and when it aligns with their beliefs, they will accept it. Fifty-Six percent of Facebook users can't recognize fake news, social media statistics show (Statista)

The former president took the above information and built a house for fools, which led to his presidency in 2017. If he is allowed to do it again, our democracy will be no more. He has openly promised he will bring an aggressive authoritarian rule into power!  

These words are spelled out in nearly every speech he makes. He is promising the moon and stars to his "base" in order to keep them in line and his name in front of them.  

Are we up to the challenge? 

 

 

Will the Real Republicans Please Stand Up?

"I know I should have told the truth, but I didn't want to go against what's-his-name. So, rather than admit I've been lying all this time, I've decided to not run for re-election."

Trump and the Republicans were lovers,

Oh, what a clown show in love.

The GOP was loyal to Donnie,

Just as true as the MAGA above.

They were his thugs,

But now they see he's wrong.

Lawmakers are fleeing Congress at a record-clip with 13 senators and representatives announcing this month they won't seek-re-election!

"It's no wonder Republicans are running for the retirement exits given the chaos and dysfunction dominating their caucus," said Viet Shelton, a spokesperson for the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee."

One potential consequence of this wave of retirements could be an uptick in Republicans who embrace the former president's MAGA movement and bring a burn-it-all-down mentality as they leave Washington.

Rep. Ken Buck (R-Colo)  and Kay Granger (R-Texas), who both voted against Rep. Jim Jordan (R-Ohio) for speaker announced, "we were going to quite anyway." They could evidently see the doomsday handwriting on the wall. 

Most that are leaving have bitter words about the House leadership and its ability to govern. Obviously, those 8 or 10 radical-right MAGA terrorists still have a good bit of power. Expletive language about several of them was heard in hallways and restrooms. 

It has been a poop-show and has defined the Republican Party in such a way that many loyal members just don't want to be recognized as having any part of it.

Sadly, those leaving now could have resolved the problem a long time ago by simply telling Americans the truth!

It all begs the question:  "Will the Real Republicans please stand up?"

 

When will we finally listen to the experts?

Former Federal Judge J. Michael Luttig of the U.S. Court of Appeals Fourth Circuit says according to the 14th Amendment, Section 3, Trump is in no way qualified to be on the 2024 Presidential Ballot.

Luttig, considered the most  conservative Republican judge in the country has joined a coalition of veteran lawyers and nonpartisan government watchdog groups as they fight against a far-right Republican election law challenge - one so radical that critics say it has the potential to end American democracy as we know it. One of these days, we are going to start taking these legal minds seriously and clean up this mess! We cannot continue as a nation that is being controlled by Republican conspiracy theorists, liars, and thugs.

It has been reported today that Mikey Johnson, "Temporary" U.S. Speaker of the House, has thrown his endorsement to Donald Trump to become the next United States President. He immediately traveled to Trump's Mar-a-Largo home and bowed to kiss his..,um...ring.

The Republican stars are beginning to line-up in the universe for the highly anticipated government coup. When the alignment is complete and their authoritarian Grand Poo-Paw is in the Oval Office, the coven of evil will be declared official.  There will be the muttering old Majority Leader of the Senate and the  hapless young and inexperienced simpleton as House Speaker who will take turns carrying the crown for "the great one."

But only the simpleton will be crowned " Political Turkey of the Year" this time. In the coming days, watch Mikey closely. He's what you might call an "up and coming loser."

Life gets tedious, don't it?

Mr. Blowfish is telling us every day and in every speech how he is going to bring great retribution upon his adversaries who have turned on him as he outlines his next term of office. In order to succeed, he will bring into the Executive Branch the Department of Justice. That will give him total control over who he can send to prison! He will than gag our national media and produce his own distribution of lies.

If you go to your history books, you will read how every one of the world's authoritarians began their drive for power in the very same way. While we have been told that Mr. Blowfish doesn't read much, there are a bevy of Republicans who are, evidently, more than anxious to tell him what to say and what to do.

How many of us are there to make sure he doesn't succeed?

So many Conspiracy Theories to boggle the mind. . .

Sixty years ago today, a "another day that will live in infamy" occurred in Dallas, Texas.  President John F. Kennedy was shot and killed during a ride with his wife, the Texas Governor and his wife, in a motorcade through town. 

Many details of that day have been chewed to pieces by umpteen television specials and books. The most enduring thing for me, however, is the gigantic impression it made on the mind of this twenty-five-year-old kid. Not the precise event, perhaps, but the media and political coverage that lasted for seemingly months. We all looked for answers. We all wanted to know who - and why.

Here we are, sixty years later, and we still have no solid answers to hang our hats on. There are, of course,  unanswerable happenings that today we would call "conspiracy theories." And, it's commonplace for politicians to threaten other people who stand in their way. Today, our rule of law is bent, stapled, and mutilated by biased, politically-appointed judges and high-priced attorneys who will be happy to bend and stretch the truth for a client. It's a cruel new world.

So, what stuck with me the most is why would someone shoot our  president - and why?  Well, the "why" will never be answered and "who" seems to be iffy, at best.  Lee Harvey Oswald was arrested but he was shot and killed while in police custody by a man named Jack Ruby. Ruby is also deceased and we didn't get a chance to hear his story, as well. A cover-up? By today's standards, it would be a lulu!

Regardless, my life was forever changed and I suddenly had a craving to learn much more about our government and what is happening that someone isn't telling us. 

How can this be happening within the walls of the "shinning city on the hill?" Who is really running things around here?

So, today, sixty years later we still have few answers to the real story of the Kennedy assignation - only more stories. 

. . . and many, many more conspiracies are clogging up our ability to cope!

 

The man and his maniacs. . .

 America's Wayward Man-Child

I turned on the television this morning to the sounds of Trump's "mouthpiece" arguing with the judge in open court about why Trump should be allowed to threaten judges, court personnel, prosecutors and all of their families. Think about that for a minute!

It's 2023 and we're still in some kind of a democracy, aren't we? And our rule of law is still in force. . . isn't it?

The chaos that this one authoritarian and insane man has put us through since Jan. 20, 2017 has been profoundly debilitating to our nation and its people. We have been stretched about as far as possible.

To actually watch a mentally deranged individual try to bring down the greatest democracy on the face of the planet was not on anyone's radar. I must be fair in assessing blame, however. It has taken the majority of the Republican Party to assist in the endeavor. 

Worst of all - the man and his maniacs are still alive and still trying to bring down our nation!

America, it's time to get off our butts and remove the problem.

At my age, I've received about all of the fancy-schmancy trips I'll ever need, more than enough of the free money I'll every want, and one gorgeous motor home will last me the rest of my life.

What more could Ginny and I possible want? Thanks, rich guys!  We've enjoyed the ride!

Being a conservative Justice on the United States Supreme Court has been a blast. The favors all of those conservative rich donors have asked of me was nothing. I was glad to fill their requests. Maybe the rest of the country got a little upset, but what the heck - I can't please all of them.

The war has been announced, the battle plans have been set. . .

His Next Rule Over All?

If his destiny doth prevail, the world will quake in its orbit as the quasi-dictator makes yet another appearance. While his natty attire is frayed around the edges, his blood-thirsty promise of retribution still smolders under the surface. His evil still lurks and his plans for total domination and death of our democracy is always fresh in his mind. 

His promise for the next time he ascends to the throne include the gathering of "those departments that will give him total authority over his enemies and political opponents. The thought of such a person to hold dominion over all of us is not only frightening, but it is the recipe for a total authoritarian rule.

When pundits speak of such fears on television, the response is always the same: "Balderdash!"

It isn't of course balderdash. . . it is honest-to-God truth! And the sooner we realize it, the better off we'll be. He came close to prosecuting a coup of our government and the overturning of our election. Think about it!

Today, he has even more supporters from the MAGA/Republican Party to march with him. These "enemies of America" smell blood in the water and have become true believers of his cause.  His popularity is measured by his 40%+ lead over any other presidential candidate in his Party.

Many, many members of the the MAGA/Republican Cult are actively plotting an overthrow of the next election if they lose. Election officials are being threatened daily and a bevy of laws have been passed in many states to make voting harder for people. The entire process of rigging our elections has been underway since 2020. 

How Civil War 2.0 began. . .

The honor of firing the first shot of America's first Civil War was offered to former Virginia congressman, Roger Pryor. Pryor refused, and at 4:30 a.m., April 12, 1861, Captain George S. James ordered his battery to fire a 10-inch mortar shell, which soared over the harbor and exploded over Fort Sumter, South Carolina's Charleston Harbor. Less than 34 hours later, Union forces surrendered. Traditionally, this event has been used to mark the beginning of the Civil War. 

The first shot of the second civil war was offered to Donald J. Trump, President of the United States January 20, 2021. He quickly accepted the chance to begin the war and ordered Marjorie Taylor-Greene to begin shooting. When her rifle was empty, Lauren Boebert was designated to shoot next. The shooting continued through the ranks of deranged and glory-seeking domestic terrorists within the United States House of Representatives. (Save this because MAGA Representatives will never let it see the light of day in any history book.) 

Who let the devil enter our midst?

We all recognize at least a few of these men. There is the dictator of Russia in the middle. the ruler of China is second from the right, the dictator of Turkey is on the right and the two on the left are also men of authoritarian status in their respective countries. The people in all of their countries only have freedom when these men give it to them. This is the power Donald J. Trump wants in his "next term."

 The Next American Election Will Not Be Republican vs. Democrat

It will be democracy vs. autocracy

Oh, how Donald wished he was in that photo. He so wants to be among the dictators of the world. He so wants to be the ruthless ruler of the country of America. This is what he promises, if elected, to the American people. 

He has said the Department of Justice will be under his Executive Branch's control. That will be decreed in his second day on the job. On his first day, all of the media will be placed under his control and if anyone refuses, they will be sent to prison. 

Trump will systematically take control and seek retribution on all of his "enemies" that worked and talked against him in his first term. It will be a bloody undertaking.

Ironically, his MAGA base - who will be instrumental in electing him - will quickly find that they will not be handed immunity from his wrath. In order to attain his control in America, he will find it necessary to play no favorites, even those who have carried him to power. He will be loyal to no one. 

Such is an authoritarian, an autocrat, a dictator, a ruler. . . whatever you wish to call him.  In the end, they only hunger for power and complete dominance over all of us!

Are We Afraid Yet?

Mike Johnson has hornswoggled his way   into the job of Speaker of the 

U.S. House of Representatives

Albert Mohler, president of the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville, Kentucky, welcomed Mike Johnson's speakership not only because of his conservative political record, but also because he is "a consciously committed evangelical Christian."

He is also consciously committed to upholding all of those things that 87% of Americans do not believe in. 

James Michael Johnson is an American politician servicing as the 56th speaker of the United States House of Representatives. A member of the far-right Republican Party, Johnson is in his fourth House term, having represented Louisiana's 4th congressional district since 2017. He is 51 years old, from Shreveport, LA. 

Johnson is a strong ally of former president Trump and a quiet force among the MAGA Republicans. He was a chief architect of the effort to decertify the Biden election win in 2020. He is still a rigid denier that Trump lost the election. 

He is opposed to all abortions, regardless of rape or incest. He is also opposed to any form of homosexuality, including same sex unions or marriage.  He insists that other personal taboos should be abandoned because they are taboos to his beliefs. 

Finally, his hard right radical views make him a serious threat to our democracy. He was willing to overturn a presidential election and prosecute a coup on our government in order to get his way. A Trumper - through and through!

This, ladies and gentlemen, is the choice for Speaker of the U.S. House - second in line to the President of the United States - by 100% of the Republicans in the U.S. House.

When will we learn?

 "A well-regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed."

The Second Amendment has been folded, stapled, and mutilated by the far-right for so many years that James Madison, who proposed it, would surely not recognize it in its present understanding. It was ratified in 1791 to allow the creation of civilian forces that can counteract a tyrannical federal government.

The founding Fathers felt that citizens should be able to protect themselves against the government and any other threat to their wellbeing or personal freedom. 

The obvious flaw in today's understanding of the amendment is "common sense." That being the lack of foresight of the Founding Fathers that ordinary citizens should not be allowed to own weapons that were intended for use only by the nation's military.

In short, the far-right's need to boost the manufacture and sale of weapons of mass destruction is a total political maneuver. The NRA lobbyists have worked the system to its upmost in order to pour money into the pockets of legislators for their re-election needs.  

Today, gun maniacs can buy as man army-style killing machines as they can afford. There are more than enough guns and rifles made and sold for every man, woman, and child in America!

The lies of the NRA and the gun lobbyists are stretching thin and it will soon bring down their empire. Why does someone need a fully-automatic machine gun or rifle?  Why?

Let's get the right-wing, the NRA, and the gun lobbyists out of the business of aiding and abetting the terrible death of our innocent citizens!

Full of Elephants?

A 28% JUMP IN YOUR ELECTRIC BILL!

The current Montana Public Service Commission is filled to the brim with elephants and they just approved a 28% electricity rate increase for NorthWestern Energy's residential and small business customers.

Yes, they did, and they did it in broad daylight and with smiles on their little faces. (After all, Northwestern folks have to live, too.)

This, of course, is the way of elephants. When they begin to move, there is little in their path that will survive their onslaught. This five-member right-wing collection of business-lovin' "yes men and women" will give NorthWestern what ever they want.

So, dig out your candles, flashlights, firewood, and kerosene lanterns and enjoy Montana's winterland.

And drop the PSC members a note of thanks: Randy Pinocci (if he's not in jail by now), Tony O'Donnell,, James Brown, Jennifer Fielder, and Ann Bukacek.  Republicans all! 

P.S. They each make $111,179 a year as a PSC member. 

Isn't our democracy worth saving?

 As I bang away on my computer keyboard, I know full well that my hostile rant is about as meaningless as an ant crawling up the hind leg of an elephant with rape on its mind. 

But, like I have no good sense, I preserve. 

Our rule of law has failed us. Our court system has failed us. And, our government is now failing us. 

The U. S. House of Representatives has been handed over to the very same MAGA crowd that tried to overturn our government on Jan. 6th. The newly elected Speaker of the House, Mike Johnson, is the guy who planned and orchestrated the move to decertify the 2020 election of Joe Biden. He is so far to the right, even Genghis Khan would have to look to his right to see him. 

There is no longer a viable Republican Party. There is but a distant memory of the once-Grand Old Party. It is hard to remember that they were once  one of two major political parties in America. If there are any members still alive, they have been bound and gagged by now. A man named Trump has given voice to the antigovernment rag-tag street thugs who have been waiting for their time in the sun, and they just won't give up and go away. . . mainly because the puppet master, himself, won't go away! Any resemblances to the old GOP doesn't exist.

So, our U.S. House of Republican misfits are in charge of the asylum and one can only imagine what they have in store for America.  A few items already mentioned are:  No further aid to Ukraine and a nation-wide ban on all abortions (with no exceptions). 

We are being bamboozled by a relatively miniscule number of democracy-haters who are - for some strange reason - in charge of us!

Or are we just not putting up the proper defense?  Are we so busy with our own lives that we can find fifteen or twenty things more important to do?

Let's get to work. Our democracy is well worth saving!

Who Will Put Out The Flame?

Who struck the match is easy: Rep. Matt Gaetz. He called for Speaker of the House Kevin McCarthy to be thrown out of office - and the vote passed. This is how they treat the second in line to become President if something happened to Biden and Harris. It was a fait accompli by a rowdy bunch of hooligans who have no business in the offices they hold. Gaetz is a juvenile delinquent in the minds of many Americans. He saw a chance to call for the vote and put his mug and name in the spotlight. Evidently he was elected to tear things down rather than build things up.

Those toting gas cans to the fire are the troublemakers of the U.S. House, such as Marjorie Taylor-Greene, Lauren Boebert, Jim Jordan, Matt Rosendale, and others. Their states must be so proud of them.

As far as who will put out the flame is questionable.  The House has gone nearly three weeks with no Speaker, which means absolutely no business. Our government is in a crisis mode while the House sits idle. They are even unable to agree on a new Speaker. We can only hope there is a Republican in the House who has the moxie to step up and right the ship.

All the while, good ol' Matt Gaetz and his gang of legislative terrorists are basking in the limelight of ignorant bliss!

Election 2024 is heating up and we hope American voters have been paying attention to the condition of their country.

The Conservative Curriculum Creep. . .

PragerU hit the Montana news by inserting itself into our Office of Public Instruction agenda and getting approval to swamp our public school curriculum with far-right thinking. It is an advocacy group and media organization that creates content promoting their strong conservative viewpoints on various political, economic, and sociological topics. It was founded in 2009.

They are insisting that their conservative agenda be implemented in our public school their way of teaching our children. 

When Elsie Arntzen, Superintendent of Montana's Office of Public Instruction was asked about it, she said, "they had all of the necessary credentials and so I opened the gate to let them in." Elsie  is, of course, the Montana Republican Administration's gate keeper of such things.  Big mistake, Montana!

We Montanans are aware of the far-right conservative's views on our public curriculum.  Such things as banning books about how our nation treated slaves, the facts on why we had a Civil War, and other topics that obviously stir embarrassment to conservatives. In other words, we ain't got no business teaching that factual stuff to our kids today!

Get involved and stop Elsie and the conservative ideology from getting their way in our public school curriculum . .and give PragerU the boot!

Axis of Evil

Jim Jordan, possible new Speaker of the House, is a "dysfunctional Legislative Terrorist" according to several in his own Party. He is also capable of further weaponizing his friends on the far-right in the U.S. House. Further yet, there is a fear that he will once again enjoy an "Axis of Evil: with Donald Trump.

Rep. Jordan spoke at least twice to Donald Trump on Jan. 6th about things we are not allowed to know. He has ignored all subpoenas and even today he refused to answer a reporter on the question of whether the election was stolen from Trump. He has been a election denier since the electoral college proclaimed Biden the winner.

Jordan also was active in meetings with Trump and others as they strategized about how to overturn the election. He was considered by Trump to be an important legislative figure on the coup attempt of our Capitol.  There are many issues he was reportedly known to be involved in during the planning and implementation of the Jan. 6th coup.

To consider this man as next in line for the presidency behind the vice-president should make all of our blood run cold. He has been given very low marks by the majority of House members in his own Party and, in blunt terms,  has been severely criticized by the media in his home state.

Surely there is a way to bypass this man for such an important office in our government.
