Hang your head in shame, MAGA/Republicans
Your MAGA insanity has managed to do what other evil doers have not. You have brought "The shining city on the hill" to its knees and turned it into a vast wasteland of scorched earth!
It isn't just a man named Trump that turned our nation upside-down. It wasn't anything he, alone, could have done to upend our rule of law, constitution and democracy. He needed a great deal of help from his fellow MAGA/Republicans. He would have been just another crazy old fool without their help.
As a matter of fact, his plans to turn our nation into an ugly authoritarian rule won't even get off the ground without the MAGA/Republicans who are standing on their hind legs and begging to be included in his plans.
The mystery is, what will happen to all of the planning if Trump is cast adrift by the American voters? What will the hangers-on do? Is there any one who will have the chutzpah to pick up where Trump left off? I'm guessing it will be too big of a gamble for an already-nervous bunch of politicians who are continually worried about their political money-making futures.
Trump will continue to flex his deteriorating political muscle by pushing for his utopian dream of ruling over all of us. One day, however, the cult folks will finally get behind the idea that a democracy is the best they can hope for - and far better than they deserve.
As for Trump and his MAGA/Republicans. . . well, we can only hope they'll get what they deserve, too! Their rap sheet reads: Attempting to illegally overturn a national election by hiring fake electorates, storming our Capitol building and causing severe injuries and death, prosecuting an attempted coup and an insurrection, are just a few of their criminal actions.
Our landscape appears shaky, uncertain, and strewn with burned-out hopes and dreams. If we can't contain the MAGA cult, we are in for a dark and treacherous future!
All because the MAGA/Republicans and a man named Trump thought they had found a pathway to a dictatorship!
