Montana Republican Party is Knee-Deep in Corruption

Sometimes you just have to accept the fact that Montana's Republican Politics will be ugly as sin and twice as corrupt.  Take, for example, their fight to get two Green Party Candidates on the November Ballot.

The first thing you will need to know is the Green Party did not ask to include any candidates.  Interesting, isn't it?  But, the next thing you will need to know is a show stopper:  The Montana Republican Party arranged for the ballot appearance of the Green Party Candidates.  Even more interesting, isn't it?

But wait, there's more.

District Court Judge James Reynold removed the Green Party from the ballot, citing missteps by the Republican Secretary of State. Stapleton then filed an appeal with the Montana Supreme Court against Judge Reynold's motion.  The clock is now ticking on both challenges, as the ballot for the Nov. 3 general election must be certified by August 20th.

As the Helena Independent Record writes, "If Secretary Stapleton is prevented from placing on the general election ballot the names of Green Party candidates duly nominated by the voters, the Green Party ballots cast by the candidates and approximately 800 other Montana voters during the Montana Primary Election will become nullities and these voters will become disenfranchised," the lawsuit filed by Bozeman Lawyer Matthew Monforton reads."

I would love to inspect those 800 Montana Voters and see which political party they voted for in the last presidential election.  I'm betting my next month's social security check that most of them voted for Donald J. Trump.  Also, I would think that when Montana Republicans vote on the Green Party ballot, disenfranchisement would have already taken place.

The moral to this sick and tainted story is this:  The corrupt Montana Republican Party stole the Green Party Candidates to use for their own corrupt purposes to pull votes away from several prime races of Democrat Candidates.  When the judge found these two candidates' entry into the election was fraudulent, he removed them.  The Republican Secretary of State is now, with the help of other state Republicans, taking it all the way to the State Supreme Court to get them back on the ballot.

"Oh what tangled webs they weave, when first they practice to deceive."

It has long been said that the only way a Republican can win an election in this country anymore is by cheating, lying, and/or ugly corruption.

Montana Republicans are certainly no exception.
