Oligarchs and the power of their purses over our good voting sense. . .

 Oligarchs in America

"What is an oligarch?  It started with a very rich business leader and a great deal of political influence with individuals who benefit from the privatization of state-run industries after the collapse of the Soviet Union."

"In order to be considered an oligarch, some of the following conditions must be satisfied:  uses monopolistic tactics to dominate an industry, possesses sufficient political power to promote their own interests, control multiple businesses which intensively coordinate their activities."

In America today, Elon Musk would be considered an oligarch among others  in what is called the "Second Gilded Age" - defined by vast wealth inequality and hyper-partisanship. He recently pledged $180 million to Donald Trump's new super PAC. He qualifies as one of the world's top 10 oligarchs.

He is, also, adamant that American Voters be disqualified from using mail-in ballots. They must, themselves, go to the polls to vote!

The upcoming Nov. 5th election is going to be a donnybrook. Trump and his crew of "flying monkeys" will be out in force and the cry will be, "take no prisoners!" He has also said "he will not accept the vote if he loses." And, if he does lose, he has promised it will be a "bloodbath" in America!

Oligarchs such as Musk have given "losers" like Trump the cash to get into this position. The people no longer elect presidents in America. . . the oligarchs and other rich people do, who have the power to pull the right strings.

But, Americans voters allow it to happen.

I'll never understand how the amount of money a candidate spends will separate a voter from his good sense!
