Shady Sheehy Strikes Again. . .

There is a connection between Tim Sheehy, the Republican challenging Senator Jon Tester for his U.S. Senate seat, and PERC, the Bozeman-based Property and Environment Research Center that promotes what it calls "free market environmentalism." The PERC advertises what it calls a "free market environmentalism."

The fact that Sheehy was on the PERC board is not in question - despite his failure to disclose that fact as required by Senate rules which his campaign says is an "omission" that's being "amended."

To put this in somewhat more simply, PERC believes that private land ownership results in better conservation of those lands.

This, of course, is saying the PERC offers the Montana State Republican Party a way to justify their long-time desire to turn over all public land to private (rich Republican) hands! This has given Sheehy the means to "back into a more innocent reason to buy sizeable public lands. He immediately posted all of it and is charging $12,500 to hunt on "his" land.

Sheehy, a super-rich Republican from Minnesota, is quickly making himself an enemy of Montanans. Other rich Republicans have wanted to get their hands on public land for years. It looks like they've found a way!

We just can't let this guy buy up precious lands. . . and  one of our U.S. Senate seats!
