Captain Clarence of the "Bribery" Coast

Best news of the last twenty-four hours is the Democrats, who are in the  majority in the United States Senate, have asked for a Special Prosecutor to investigate Justice Clarence Thomas' possible bribery charges. It has been reported that the extravagant gifts and money he has acquired are pretty damn suspicious.

Of course, Captain Clarence and his activist wife, Ginni, have displayed suspicious activities for a long time. If they will admit to a Supreme Court code of ethics, they probably assume it was a self-administered code and followed only "if they so desired."

By all accounts, Ginni Thomas was definitely involved in some way with the insurrection on our Capitol on Jan. 6th. She has been an activist for some time, while her husband has kept a fairly low profile in politics. Maybe he "handles only the money." His very close association with billionaires certainly has raised big questions!

Regardless, it is frightening and sickening that we find out how our high court decisions might be made.

We are being exposed to some pretty ugly things in our government and when the final autopsy is finished, it might be much, much worse!

As Riley used to say, on the TV show The Life of Riley-  "What a revolting development this is turning out to be!"  (You've got to be as old as me to remember some of this stuff.)

A Day for a little Levity. . .

Confession of a   Social Climber Before I cash in my chips and curl up my toes, I need to confess to a terrible crime. For more than 86 years I have been a terrible liar about an important moment in of my life. As everyone who knows me is aware, I have always said my home town was Fort Benton. But, I hope everyone will find a way to forgive me for that terrible fib. I admit I was a social climber from birth. I wanted the world to know I was from a large city. When I was born, my parents and and older brother lived in the beautiful town of Virgelle, Montana. We also had a farm across the river from Virgelle and south about five miles on top of the river breaks. We lived there for about three years and then moved back to the farm.
