Our Problems Are Now Settled With Guns and Gallows . . Like In The 1860s. . .

I have read several well-meant and heart-felt responses from folks across the country about the shooting in Pennsylvania at a Trump rally. The former president was struck in his right ear, two were killed in the attempted assassination, and others were wounded.

Conservatives are asking for calm responses to the shootings. We are being told to keep our remarks civil and non-political. I take objection to that.

It was a political statement by a young man who chose the exact wrong way to express himself. The gun-crazy nation we live in set the terms for how this shooter decided to show his contempt for a man who has never missed a chance to direct outrage and venom at his political enemies. A response, in kind, was wrongly given back to him.

This angry and off-the-wall shooting was ridiculous, but ridiculous is what has been spawned these days. The former president had, himself, incited violence, mayhem, injuries, and death on Jan. 6th, the day of the insurrection against our government. One cannot cause such insanity and then try to sell it as a "peaceful march," and then cry for "retribution" when the opposition reacts.

We Americans who are still reeling from what happened on that fateful day of insurrection cannot and will not forget. It is not unusual for someone to respond in a lethal way since they have already been promised we will see it happen again should they lose the election. They plan to take many freedoms from us. They plan to leave a scorched earth for us.

Their plans will bring a human cry that will make the Pennsylvania attempted assassination seem like just another day in our society of guns and killings.

Therefore, the focal point of our problems are the ones who are expressing their need to turn America into a dictatorship. And they certainly should be ready for a response!

They are the ones who can dissolve their "Project 2025" plans!
